HDR Photos

by on Nov.03, 2006, under photography

Recently I’ve been learing about HDR images. HDR stands for high dynamic range and in order to create HDR images, the technique involves using software to alter a single RAW image or a series of jpeg images with different exposure times by combining them and then adjusting the contrast ratios. The best software to use in my opinion, is either Adobe Photoshop or Photomatix

The result can be a very rich coloured image that almost jumps out at you. The technique can take some practice and because all images are different, the outcome can vary greatly. Usually, compositions with a range of colours work well. Some great tutorials can be found here:

Welcome to my blog

by on Nov.02, 2006, under ramblings, technology

Hello. my name is Ben and welcome! I’m new to the whole blogging thing but I am learning fast so hopefully my website and blog is going to develop and grow. At the moment I’m playing around with sidebar widgets - these allow you to drag and drop really cool mini apps that let you do stuff like show your Flickr photos or what your favourite music or books are at the moment. I’ll be adding more of these when I find some more that I like. Well, thats it for now. laters
